What should I do if companies don’t accept my Vivid Money IBAN?

Your Vivid Money IBAN should be accepted everywhere in the Euro Single Payments Area (SEPA) according to Article 9 of Regulation No 260/2012 under EU law, ensuring a smooth process for receiving your salary or credit transfers without any anticipated difficulties.

If you’re faced with the problem related to the acceptance of your IBAN, e.g. your employer or service provider is only accepting an IBAN specific to the country where you reside, we would recommend the following options:

  • Inform your employer (or other party) that your IBAN must be accepted as per EU law.

  • You can inform the employer (or other party) of initiatives like https://www.acceptmyiban.org/.

  • Contact your relevant national authority and provide directly to them all info that you have about this (your contact details, company or merchant name refusing acceptance of your IBAN).

Vivid Money S.A., an Electronic Money Institution (EMI), partners with Banking Circle to provide IBANs for your account. As a result, when you use your Vivid IBAN for SEPA transfers or provide your account details to payment recipients like PayPal or online merchants, you may observe Banking Circle identified as the financial institution involved.
